GOLF SOCIETY 6 - INTERNATIONALS 1

In a challenge match against an international team put together by Hua Hin Golf Tours, the Society triumphed by 6 matches to 1.

RATCHABURI TRIP

The 9th and 10th of August 30 Society members and guests played two days of golf at Panurangsri and Royal Ratchaburi. Over 36 holes John McMorris scored 74 pts Stableford beating Neung 71 pts and Mick Wittering 68 pts.

RECENT RESULTS: 20th July at Palm Hills. 28 players one group (0-36 hcp). 1st Annie Gidney 43 pts 35 hcp, 2nd Peter Tydeman 38 pts 26 hcp, 3rd John McMorris 37 pts, 14 hcp.

23rd July at Milford: 10 players one group, 1st Brian Gidney 42 pts 10 hcp, 2nd Terry Burge 36 pts 22 hcp.

27th July at Lake View : 26 players one group, 1st Mick Evans, 2nd Jim Dale (Australian visitor) 39 pts, 18 hcp, 3rd Trevor Firth 38 pts, 15 hcp.

GOLFERS ON THE RUNWAY!

Three of Hua Hin's golfing personalities, Jorgen Persson, Mick Wittering and Simon Yates, pictured at the Hua Hin Golf Festival's Long Drive Competition. The long drive comp was held on the runway at Hua Hin Airport . The stong inland wind made the event more difficult this year, but at least it stopped the balls flying into the sea!

What a team these three make, Jorgen is one of the town's best teaching pros, Mick of Custom Clubmakers builds the clubs that top players like to use, and Simon gets out and wins the prizes as one of asia 's best golfers.
