Hua Hin Hash House Harriers

The last couple of HHH runs have been excellent, though a tad uneventful. I don’t wish to complain but if somebody could break a leg, so that we could perform a dramatic rescue (maybe a cobra bite would be even more fun), or one of our beautiful young ladies might get her clothes nearly torn off running through the bushes so that we could supply a stimulating photo. Just suggestions.

So, the 28 Oct hash, which was the week following the monster hash, was hared by Long Ron and Farmer John (back for the winter to escape from the wilderness of Lincoln. Ballbanger must have been suffering from brain damage, through all the work he did for the Monster Hash, because he dumped a load of beer on me and announced a free hash, I must check Hash history to see if this sort of thing has occurred previously.

The Hash was held in the same Dam place, halfway between Chaam and Hua Hin, only we went a bit further past the Dam than usual. The turnout was remarkable considering that we had thought most Hashers were in Chiang Mai - it all goes to show what happens to Hashers when there is the prospect of free beer. It was a good run, well marked with no problems - what can you say - I think we should invent a new punishment for this sort of thing.

The 11 Nov Hash was held a long way down Soi 112, about 6K in fact. It was hared by Pedro and Rolo (a combination which has a certain ring to it). Again the route was well organised with a few sensible checks - but it was a tough one - I believe the first back took about 57 minutes - I was about 70 minutes and, unusually, not the last by quite a ways. There was as large a turnout as I have seen
- and we had a couple from my hometown in the North of England, Harrogate, Stick and Wetnicks (I didn’t ask). So you would think that something disastrous might have happened, but no. Better luck next time. On On 69 Forever.

Hua Hin Pool League

At press time, the regular season had finished, with just the Cup and Shield team matches, and the individual tournaments remaining. Well done to the winners of the respective leagues, namely Virgin Drive, Jungle Juice B, Butterfly Rockers and Pink Flamingo. In the January issue we will be able to announce all the winners of all competitions, as well as some of the details for the next season. To try to ensure the continued success and popularity of the competition in the area, a survey has been set up online which we ask all participants in the pool league to complete; just go to the pool league website (address below) and click on the link for the survey, where you will find all
the details. If you are unable to complete it online, please contact the organisers via the Sugar Cane bar, and they will provide a paper version. Many thanks in advance for those who take the few minutes to complete it, and also thank you to everyone who has competedthis season.

For further details contact your favourite bar which has a team, or
contact the organisers on huahinpoolleagues@yahoo.com, and visit
the website for all the latest results and tables at
www.huahinpool.multiservers.com.
