Yoga
Finally Hua Hin has a way to get fit and healthy
without killing yourself in the process.
At the end of last month Hua Hin Yoga opened its doors twice daily for
everyone to come and learn the ancient art of Yoga.
Classes will be held daily except Thursdays, at 9am and 6pm. If demand
increases additional classes will also be taught. For those too shy to
try it in a class setting, private lessons, or small group lessons are
also available.
The Owner and Teacher of Hua Hin Yoga is Khun Nadtaya, (Tu). For the last
5 years Tu has been the main Yoga Teacher at Chiva Som, the worlds no.
1 Health Resort, situated right here in Hua Hin.
With a wealth of experience in teaching both in Thai and English to guests
from all over the world and of all fitness levels, everyone will be able
to participate and benefit from her knowledge.
If you are wondering why its so popular all over the world, well its because
Yoga is for everyone. The only prerequisite is being able to breathe.
Even difficult looking postures have very simple variations that anyone
can do. You don't have to be flexible or strong to do yoga. Yoga teaches
you how to enjoy living in the present moment. A natural by-product of
doing yoga over a period of time is that one becomes flexible, strong,
fit and healthy.
Yoga gives you energy and vitality. It corrects your posture, cures disease,
clears the mind, reduces stress, can be done anywhere, does not require
any expensive equipment and it makes you feel good by bringing you in
touch with yourself.
So come and find Tu's studio located above the tailor, in front of the
Chattaya Thai Massage on Naresdamri Road Hua Hin. Only about 50meters
from the Sofitel Entrance.
Classes are only 200 baht each, or 180 if you pre pay 10 classes. All
you need is to wear comfortable clothes that you can bend and stretch
in.
So come down and finally work on your fitness and health like you keep
promising you will!.
See you there!

Football Fever
Our local Hinchester United football team were
in action again, against Guys Bar in a friendly 7 a side match up at Stamford
University.
The weather was much more conducive to free flowing football than the
last match, played in atrocious conditions. The game was very close ending
in a 3 - 3 draw, penalties were needed to decide the winner. Guys and
Hinchester made hard work of their spot kicks missing more than were scored,
Guys finished up with the sudden death winner. In the next issue we will
report on the match against Skywave FC, our local radio DJ's.
Anyone out there interested in joining the mainly expat team please call
01-944 9372 or 09-537 3066 for details of our next game against the police
which will take place in December. Regular practice takes place at Stamford
on Sunday afternoons.

Hua Hin Pool League
Season One
There are still four teams without losses after the first two rounds.
Strong favourites are Snipers and Sabai, who along with Octopus's and
U-Turn are leading the league. In the mid-table are preseason favourites
Jungle Juice and The London Bar, Bamboo Grove and Sawan. Still without
victories are Horny Team, Rainbow, Pizza Service and Thai Girls. So far
it has been an enjoyable start to the season. Players are getting used
to the new rules and to know each other. Hopefully the fun spirit will
stay until the end of the season. Remember: "The most important thing
is not to win but to go for long away games." All the teams welcome
new players whether tourists or expats living in Hua Hin or Cha Am area.
In the singles top 16 Paul of Sabai and Peter of Snipers are leading the
pack with three victories and no losses. As it is still early in the season,
it is difficult to predict the final outcome.
Second week saw a major surprise when The London Bar slurped down Jungle
Juice with a 12-0 whitewash. Other big winners were Snipers who shot down
Thai Girls 11-1 and Sabai who cut down Bamboo Grove 10-2. Octopus's recorded
their second victory by outshining Rainbow 8-4 while Horny Team suffered
their second 5-7 loss, this time in the hands of U-Turn although they
were 5-1 up after the singles. Sawan gulped down Pizza Service with same
numbers in an exciting game where the decisive rack was the third one
in the last double.
