Exciting match between Hinchester and Smorphrong SC
Local teams Hinchester United and Smorphrong Sports
Club played out an exciting draw last month. The Sports Club went 3 up,
and with only half an hour to go Hinchester staged a dramatic recovery
to level with just a few minutes remaining.
There was plenty to cheer (and laugh at) for the supporters of both teams,
as the old Highland Resort pitch is as devoid of grass as our editor’s
head is of hair, which made for some odd bounces and some wayward passes.
All six goals were well taken. Hinchester missed a chance to win a rare
game when the usually reliable centre back Neil missed a penalty.
The after match party was hosted by Smorphrong and a great time was had
by all.
Hua Hin Pool League
HUA HIN POOL LEAGUEIt looks now that it's a two horse race between Snipers and Sabai, although U-Turn, Sawan, Jungle Juice and Octopus's still have their chances but it requires almost perfect finish. Most of them are still to play each other in the second half of the season. Billy's Bulls Eyes and Bamboo Grove are now only one point behind the leaders, Jay's Jousters and the competition is wide open again. Billy's and Jay's will clash with each other on round 7 as the Grovers take on Romantique Bar. Beachcomber (5) will visit the fourth placed Bull's Eyes.
