Hua Hin Darts League
There will be 12 teams playing in the second season of Hua Hin Darts League;
10 from Hua Hin and 2 from Cha Am. Most of the teams will welcome new
players, so if you're interested, contact one of the following venues.
Hua Hin - Bamboo Grove, Beer Bank Bar, Billy's Bar, Beachcomber, Jungle
Juice, Ship, Road Hole, Club 99, Jail House
Cha Am - Paradise Corner
HASH HOUSE HARRIERS
The Hua Hin Hash House Harriers, 2H3H, runs on
a couple of Saturdays each month with the dates determined by consensus
and weather. On Saturday the 13th of December, we will have a run in honor
of a couple of the founders of the 2H3H, Tom and May Crowley. It's been
many a run since they have been with us and there is no telling when we
will see them again and so we are looking forward to getting together
for a good run and a great time after the run on the 13th.
The Hash House Harriers is more social than athletic but we can promise
some challenging terrain for runners who really feel the need to earn
their beer. Our trails are most often far from the beaten path and often
provide a bit of jungle adventure for both runners and walkers.
Visitors are certainly most welcome to join us.
For information on forthcoming runs, e-mail Don at donaltetley@yahoo.com.
Also, see Jim at "Coconuts" in Hua Hin or Jit at the "Chicken
Coop" in Cha Am.
MILFORD - END OF AN ERA
Bangkok Golf has been operating Milford Golf club
under a lease agreement for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, due to an
inability to renew our lease, Bangkok Golf will cease to operate at Milford
on December 15th 2003.
During our time of operation we are proud to have taken Milford, from
an unplayable pile of rock, to an exciting challenge for the golfer, with
the best greens you could possibly play on. Love it or hate it, Milford
is probably the toughest test of golf in Thailand.
I would like to take this opportunity to offer
my thanks to the many individuals, companies and organisations who have
supported us during our time here. Notably the tour companies, Hua Hin
Tours, Sweethai and Scandinavian Golf Tours have been very supportive
and I can recommend their professional services to all. Many thanks also
to the Hua Hin Golf Society; who in the early stages of our reconstruction
gave me solid support. I would like to single out, for special thanks,
Mr. Berny Morgan, who gave me solid support and encouragement throughout
my time at Milford.
Although Bangkok Golf will no longer be involved in golf in this area
we are still operating and expanding our facility in Bangkok. Only 15
minutes from the airport, it's an excellent venue for a stopover on your
way in or out of Bangkok.
Hua Hin will, in future years, become the premier
golf destination in Thailand.
Unfortunately Bangkok Golf will not be a part
of that. To all friends and customers. Happy golfing.
